B2 visa is a type of nonimmigrant tourist visa for persons desiring to enter the United States temporarily for tourism or medical treatment (B-2).
Pleasure, Tourism, Medical Treatment – Visitor Visas (B-2) - As If the purpose of an individual’s travel is recreational in nature, including tourism, vacation (holiday), amusement, visits with friends or relatives, rest, medical treatment, activities of a fraternal, social, or service nature, and participation by amateurs, who will receive no remuneration, in musical, sports and similar events or contests, then a visitor visa (B-2) would be the appropriate type of visa for your travel.
Countries with Visa Waiver Program: The Visa Waiver Program (VWP) enables nationals of 36 participating countries to travel to the United States for tourism or business (visitor [B] visa purposes only) for stays of 90 days or less without obtaining a visa.

B2 Visa Document Requirements:
- Digital Image (photo)
- Form DS-160 i.e. Online Nonimmigrant Visa Electronic Application
- Visa Application fee
- Visa interview appointment
The digital image must adhere to the following specifications:
| Dimensions | The image dimensions must be in a square aspect ratio (the height must be equal to the width). Minimum acceptable dimensions are 600 x 600 pixels. Maximum acceptable dimensions are 1200 x 1200 pixels. |
| Color | The image must be in color (24 bits per pixel) in sRGB color space which is the common output for most digital cameras. |
| File Format | The image must be in JPEG file format |
| File Size | The image must be less than or equal to 240 kB (kilobytes). |
| Compression | The image may need to be compressed in order for it to be under the maximum file size. The compression ratio should be less than or equal to 20:1. |
